I did my own a few years ago and it came out great. Just take your time sanding making sure not to sand into the carbon itself. Use real fine grit paper when getting down close to the carbon and you should be fine. Way better than paying someone to fix it for you.

I actually had my wing replaced by mitsu years ago. The first and the last time a mitsu dealer ever touched my car. They ended up scratching the **** out of my trunk and when I said something about that I was told I was lucky to get it replaced
This exactly. At least I found a nice small pivoting head ratchet with a 10mm socket on it left in my trunk jam next to the weather stripping to help make up for it

You will not sand through the CF.... just sand the old clear with 600 grit, finish with 1600-2000 grit and then re-clear. I just traded my IX wing for a blotchy faded VIII carbon fiber wing and am in the process of re-finishing the clear coat

take it to a body shop. should only cost you a bout 100 dollars to get it re-cleared. also see if the shop does lifetime warranty's on their work. that way if it happens again you can just take it to them and get it fixed for free

I've sanded mine down twice and I'm just not satisfied with it. Tomorrow I'm ordering some 3m Di Noc and I'm gonna cover the exposed cf parts with it. Should prove very interesting...

follow the "how to/ install" on re-clearing the spoiler. I used this process on my front lip and it looks like new! It just took about 3 days worth of work, but saved money and I had fun

When I did mine, I got tired of using 600 Grid sand paper, so I cut corners and jump to a 320 Grid wet paper. took me about 45mins to get all the clear down..

Just did mine and it turned out great! It takes a lot longer than you would think to sand down all of the clear to where it needs to be before painting. There are a few DIY threads on this already.
