I don't understand how the STI looks better than the Evo. The Evo's wheels are are closer to the corner (Less overhang) and looking from behind which is what most STI's will see j/k the wing on the Evo vanishes because it follows the contour of the body. Unlike the STI. Also the Evo is the closest anyone can ever get to driving a Rally car. But for daily driving, the STI is much more forgiving. This is of course just an opinion.

Yeah I also don't agree with you on the Sti looking better than the Evo. The Evo is a much more beautiful car especially from the backside! Hood scoops are sexy but so are hood vents, and take the wing off of a Sti and the backside is just hideous in my opinnion.

I can deff understand where people are coming from when they say they like the sti's feel ver the evo. I own a 05 VIII and have driven a lot of STI's, and (in my opinion) the STI feels like a... normal car. comfy. Evo feels like its performance driven. As for everyone that says that STI's rumble sounds better, I agree... but an easy change to that, is throw cams in the evo. A 4G63 with cams sounds WWWAAAYYYYY better than any STI i have ever heard. I have a lot of buddies who have STI's, and I (personally) would never be able to settle for a STI.

I have owned both cars, 05 STI and Evo IX.

I prefer the EVO in almost all categories. My girly also likes the look of the Evo a lot more than the STI so not sure where the "girls like STI's more" came from.

Looks: IX > STI.
Engine: IX > STI.
Transmission: IX < STI.
Interior: IX > STI.
Handling: IX > STI.

The one thing I will say about the STI is the build quality is awesome, at least pre 07. I beat the crap out of my 05 for almost 90k miles including multiple track days and the car never let me down, I was still running on the stock clutch. I really don't think the EVO is going to take the beatings as well as the STI did.

+1. I am legally blind if this is the case! I will say this is personal opinion but for me the evo is down right sexy!

To the OP thanks for giving your input on both rides, I have never owned an sti so maybe I should keep my mouth shut!
