Lend me your ears... Need help with a light damaged evo body.
So I am hopefully picking my evo up this Friday and I am already in the planning stages to get the car how I want it. It has a small dent/gouge in the left rear quarter panel right behind the tail light. (Imagine ramming a grocery cart into the body above the bumper just to the left of the left tail light and that's what I have) I was just wondering what I would do to fix something like that? I have searched and searched and have came up with nothing really explaining what to do. I am looking into buying a new left hand rear quarter panel but if its something that a body shop has to do, I might just back out of the hunt now for that part. If anyone has any info or can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Eli,
Incase the paint is intact, you might want to check out paintless dent removal. There are restrictions on when PDR can be used, e.g. if the dent is on the crease you cannot use PDR. Not sure of the exact location of your dent, you might want to explore this option.

Rear qt does not need to be replaced if PDR cant fix it any body shop worth a spit can easily.
They'll stud gun it, slide hammer, cut the studs, grind it down, little bondo, little paint = You never knew it was there.

wow nice lol I was afraid I was gonna have to shell out the 500 some bucks for a new panel. How much do you thing the job would run me? I would say the dent/scratch is about 2"x2" and its right behind the tail light. I will see a better view this friday but its a big relief not too much has to be done. Thanks
you're better off getting dent removal or paintwork, rather then replacing a quarter panel. replacing that panel would be a lot more work (cutting, welding, $$$$) and could compromise the structural integrity of the frame.
