Ac gone - big vapor cloud when i turned on AC...
i was driving, it was really hot. I turned on the ac and noticed it was really warm. I happened to look in my rearview mirror and saw a big vapor cloud. Must have been the refrigerant spraying. This ever happen to anyone? Seems like it could just be a leak in the system. Probably the high pressure system since it didnt happen till the AC was turned out..
suggestions? its 90 degrees lol

Well you gotta find the leak first. So check the connection points and around the hosing. If you cant find it then there are a few options. You can use dye or a UV light, or just plain old soap and water to find the leak. Good luck, I'm without AC right now too lol
i found the leak. on the bottom of the car, i noticed an ac tub laying against the hoseclamp on the lower ic piping. well over time, the head of the screw on the hoseclamp actually wore right through the damn thing haha. so all i need is to replace that piece.
now here is my question...
The hole is in the soft hose. The softhose is crimped onto the hard lines. Do people replace the soft line and re crimp it onto the hardline, or do i just need the entire piece from where it bolts to the compressor to where it bolts to the ac radiator?

Yeah if you don't have a the AC equipment to do it right then go to a shop. Just ot vacuum and refill the system (after you replace the part shouldn't be too expensive.
