clutch pedal adjustment

My VIII has a new ACT clutch and new everything that hooks up to it. It feels a lot lighter than what I'm used to. What should the clutch pedal adjuster be set to now; I had it most of the way out when my old clutch was on death's door. I was thinking of moving it back up to about 50% out.

Try ~2" off the floor for engagement.

you should have a little play in the pedal before engagement, here is more info on it, I hope it helps.

Agreed, the pedal adjustment is "personal feel".

I had a new clutch installed and the pedal felt way different at first (compared to the worn out original) however it feels "normal" now. Full engagement at 3/4 pedal.

Is this correct?

I was thinking about where the bolt is set on the clutch adjuster when it comes from the factory.

My new clutch and clutch gear has started making this noisy rattling sound when in neutral and the clutch is out, or when the clutch is out and in gear, driving. Push the clutch in and it goes right away. Don't know what's causing it, back to the shop tomorrow. It seems to lessen as things warm up.

I set mine a tad lower than where it was originally. Mine rattles too and it's most likely the TOB being a little loose. I'm gonna set it lower so to tighten up the TOB later I'll let you know if the rattling stops
