Annoying Throwout bearing noise

This is annoying as hell. It only seems to make an almost knocking noise when the AC is on at a stop on idle. When I step on the clutch it goes away. Swapped dealer bearing to ACT bearing and back to dealer bearing all making the same noise. Does anyone have any info on this?

I have this in my Evo too, but for what it's worth, it got way quieter when I changed the driveline fluids.

I also had it in my previous car (02 Eclipse). I think it might just be a function of the increased vibration of the compressor running.

I get the same when I first start the car up. Noise goes away when its fully warmed up.

I always thought it was normal...

The noise from the TOB is common. Even the oem TOB makes the noise. It did on my stock cluth kit around 40k miles and does it on my exert twin kit after 2k miles. Just about every evo has this noise and it is ok and normal, from what i have been told.
