car cuts out after bov install

car cuts out after bov install

hey everyone just installed a greddy type s bov on my evo 9 and almost every time i wot, it feels like the cars fuel cuts off for a sec then comes back, any suggestions?

Sounds like the valve is opening. Greddy's are none for this. They usually cant hold more than 20 psi. Get a better bov.

but im only running the stock 17-18 psi could it have to do with the straight pipe exhaust

Try to adj the spring tension of your BOV.

^ +1. Thats the only thing you could do besides replacing the spring or seeing if the diaphragm is bad.

ill try that bc i adj it before and it wasnt cutting out n n ow it is so thats prolly it, but today i also put a straight pipe on, woiuld that affect it at all?

No. I would suggest just using a different BOV though. Why you change. The IX bov are good. As well as the forge.

this... mine was a PITA to adjust correctly, ended up going with a different BOV... just tighten it down...

Adjust it a little at a time till the problem goes away.Was it working fine before you replaced it ?
