installed new seats....

i just installed new seats and left the sensors on my old seats...how do id get rid of the srs light or is there a way to bypass it ? thanks

The only way to get rid of the srs code is to have the dealer clear it. Costs about $100 or so. Crazy, but I know from experience. And...unless you put the sensor back in your new seat, the code will come back. Maybe some of the ecu gurus can tell you if its possible to by-pass it. Good luck.

you can always take out the bulb in the cluster

dont take the bulb out. i believe it will show up durign inspection. i got my srs light fixed by having my mechanic clear it with his snap on scanner. plugs into the ODBII port, he did for free. make sure he has the special scanner reg obdii scanners wont clear it

Not sure about other states, but the srs light is an advise not a fail.

might be worth looking into, if the sensors aren't there the light will come back.
