What if she puts a nice key mark in your car after all that? Dude I know you're upset...I would be too. I say just pay the $200 and count it as a loss since you have no witnesses. People will get what they deserve later in life. It's pretty obvious to us that's the car but is it worth all the trouble to prove it?

This is not true, people just like thinking its true.

The truth is people get what they deserve later in life ONLY if someone gives them what they deserve. She deserves to either pay for the damages or else get taken to court.

Hey, maybe someone might nudge her car too one day? You know, with a crowbar or something.

I think she did do it. I hope she pays for it man.

I hate people who do that kind of ****. I went to the movies not long ago and there was this chick backing out of her parking spot with her mom in the car, she backed up into the car behind her. Then she moved back up as she was laughing, and then started to go backwards again, and hit the ****ing car a second time! It wasn't a nice car or anything but i mean, what a ****ing ****, no respect.

I think it's always a toss up on what to do. My roomate in college had someone try to park in that little thin spot with crosses through it, that is suppose to be a walkway. Way too thin for a car to fit, but the guy was drunk, and he smashed both cars on each side as he rammed his way in. We saw that he was driving a ford explorer, green, since we were on the balcony....ran downstairs, jumped in my car as the dude was tearing off, followed him to his apartment complex, called the cops...........and even with all of that, 3 eyewitnesses, the whole story about we followed him, exact matching streaks across both cars....the cop said there just isn't enough proof to write him a ticket. "you're better off taking him to small claims court" he says. Stuff like that really makes me lose faith in the police force, because they don't hesitate to write a ticket in the interest of making the world safer, but when it comes down to it, sometimes they just take the easy way out.

Also, we had the plate checked out on-line by a site, and the owner turned out being the kids dad. We googled the dad's name, and it turned out his pops was a big time lawyer in our little town there, so we decided against legal pursuit. One of my buddies, we found out later lived in that same complex and the kids radio got jacked from his car, along with 3 other cars. It's not all about karma though....because even if "he got what he deserved", the other guys who got jacked may not have deserved it. Still, it's not about the score being even, it's about moving on with life and accepting that bad things happen.

Kudos to you for taking the high road on this one man.

^^ um what? deciding not to hold the guy accountable for what he did because his dad was a lawyer is perpetuating the image that he can do whatever he wants because of who his dad is. Just because the small town cop was a pathetic human being in dereliction of his duty to uphold the law doesn't mean that you need to roll over, take it and say thank you in the end. You are absolutely right in karma and what goes around comes around, but if you don;t stand up for yourself no one will. I'm not saying the OP should throw a brick through the lady's window for being a liar, but I think that he should let her know that there are consequences in life for our actions.
