Spoiler mounts rusted off!

I was planning on re-glossing the wing so I took it off and the bolt (that's mounted to the spoiler) fell inside the side covers. I ripped the cover off and the entire bracket was completely rusted. Anyone know where I can buy this bracket or know someone that can CNC a new one for me?

My nut and bolt that was supposed to be on the spoiler for mounting.

What it's supposed to look like.

Sorry, I have no clue who can fix that problem

Based on your location, I would venture a guess that you drive in all weather conditions. If thats the case, I would say its the effects of de-icing chemicals (Magnesium & Calcium chlorides)

I think it's a manufacturing defect. I have a rust hole on my trunk lid where the bae of the wing goes on the trunk. I also have the peeling. The wing is just full of fail.

to be honest with you that piece doesn't look that hard to make. If your able to remove that piece trace it on a piece of construction paper go to home depot and buy a sheet of steel same thickness and get your self a nut and tack it the the sheet, cut it out, drill some holes and waaalaa you have a new piece.. I mean it anit going to be that easy or maybe it will but your going to need a little mechanical skills to achieve this..

I don't want to use metal since the first one was probably metal to begin with...

Nope. Looked this car up on Carfax and it was an east coast car that made its way to midwest.

i hope mine isn't like that. the paint around that area is starting to bubble on the drivers side. i'm thinking about going wingless and just grabbing a carbon fiber trunk. good luck with it.

It seems like every evo has that problem. Mine does too. i'm even getting rust on the trunk. you could go to mitsubishi and ask them to replace it if its still on warranty. but good luck with that they told me it wasnt bad enough.
