in your case if you don't drive the car then go for it, however if you dd it at all it's just not worth it.

if you plan on racing your car in any series i would take a close look at the rules some of them require you to have full interior and carpet counts just something for you to think about i have drivin my honda around with no carpet dash front bumper you name it and every sand pebble rock you hear even the water coming of the tires and car its really not worth it trust me i have did it.

i have mine out but only on the drivers side. Mine started getting seriously worn where my foot would hit when i push the clutch in. Then again I have size 13 feet. my shoe kept getting snagged on the carpet and it would never stay in place, always slide to the left or the right. I finally got sick of it and tossed in on the passenger side.

i have been driving for 5 months or so, snow, rain, shine. So far no complaints. dont notice any difference other than not being a PITA with my shoes. as far as weight savings, no idea wasnt my intention. no harm tho

I would definetly put in some grip tape or anti skid tape for your feet. I would think they would slip around alot. You can get it at pretty much any hardware store, hell even farm implement stores have it for tractors and mowers. Let us know what you think of it if you do it.

Not sure wwhat the carpet weighs but im about to rip mine out as well. Already did the trunk panels and everthing which added up to around 60lbs. I've heard and don't quote me on this that every hundred pounds is a tenth off ur quarter mile time. I wouldn worry bout the noise but it will definately be dirty as hell in the floor once u take it out. I live on a gravel road and it really blows. As far as slipping ya I would definately get anti slip pads to eliminate slipping and that annoying squeaking from wet shoes on metal lol.

i have fully gutted my 03. took out all carpet rear seats all the trunk liner. roof panels rear door panel's. it was out as hell inside. yeah it was slippery but not unbearably slippery.
I ended up putting everything back in. it got old after a year or so.
