Stroker kit that is high reving

Hello I want to stroke but my local friend tells me a stroker kit is worthless if its cutting off at 6500 rpm.

Any good stroker kit that are between 2000 to 3500 that can be high reving.

I saw map has one for 1600 but whats the rev limit on it? and AMS too.

What are your plans with the car? That might help people to point you in the right direction.

Sounds like you need to get a 2.4L and go long rod config. Even non Long Rods can rev to 7500-8000 rpms.

I think Long rod motors are good to rev up to 9000-9500. That'll spool that 37R as fast as any other config and not be dangerous to spin high in the rpm range.

Please let me know of some long rod kits that are out there.

I know AMS and Map have good configuration.

Hmm, I don't claim to know much about Evos but my 2.4 revs to 8500 with no problems...?

Agreed.

That said the 2.3 can rev to 8500 without issue.

2.3 is more for road racing. If he wants to do a 3794, it would definitely shine and show it's true power with a 2.0.

It seems like this topic is discussed once a week. Did you search at all? Maybe just click 'new posts' after waiting 20 minutes and you'll get all the info you need.

I built a 2.3L stroker for a dude's 91 GVR4 about two years back and he beats the dog snot out of it! It's still going strong and I have his rev limiter set to 7,200, which I'm sure it sees on a daily basis. Hell, I don't even think he changes the oil regularly.

My suggestion, if you have all the tools:

Do your homework.
Buy the right parts the first time.
Check and double check all your tolerances.
Torque all your fasteners properly.
Don't rush.
