my evo is paid off too but I couldn't help myself to buy the shearer 6765 kit and I just purchased a 2.1 map motorwhich I will be running e85 on lol. With the extra freed up income I couldn't resist! You know its eventually coming or if not some other nice "expensive" mods

some people are just in better situations than others. Kudo on the pay off. I would say start slow with any aftermarket parts and figure out what you really wanna do with your ride lol

The OP didn't ask everyone to post whether or not they have paid off their own cars....Anyway since its now paid off maybe a modest turbo upgrade would be nice if you haven't already.. Red or Black perhaps.

I'd suggest checking out http://www.daveramsey.com/home/

I haven't bought a car on payments in nearly 20 yrs. I imagine thoughts of buying a home and retirement aren't really the first things on your mind, but I can tell you I know several guys who were able to retire before they were 30. However, for each of them I know 100's of families who struggle from paycheck to paycheck. At 22 and college educated you're at a significant advantage and I'd suggest a "financial makeover" before compiling a mod list for your Evo. You might even be able to find some of his books in the school's library.

Save up for a house? With a garage.

Or just mod it.

Remember, you can sleep in your car but you can't drive your house.
