Honestly these cars should be worked on by their owner....a dealer should never touch them just the way I am. But I would if it was a performance shop b.c they see fast cars all the time so they don't get stupid like the porters do at dealers.

Not everyone that owns these cars is mechanically inclined enough to work on them themselves. Its not rocket science being performed on these cars, any good mechanic can do the work. The problem is finding someone who takes pride in their work

I agree with that, its just most of the time the people that own these don't have access to the tools or a lift (thats my reason for not being able to do some of the stuff)

If the water pump isn't showing signs of any seepage why replace it? Most Evo water pumps should be fine until 120k but it's on a individual basis.

I have had my fun with Fitzgerld in the past. Im sorry to hear your story but im am NOT SURPRISED. My side skirts and floor was messed up because those guys decided to put it on a lift wrong

If everything is already off why not replace the water pump while you're at it. Why take the risk of pushing it to 120k, when it is a relatively inexpensive part and labor would be much cheaper with the belts done at the same time.
