Question about adjustible cam gears for evo
Are the adjustable cam gears for evo specific to them or can you use adjustable cam gears from a DSM?
The reason i am asking because i have some sitting here for a DSM and i am doing a cam install on my evo

It depends on the brand. Some do make interchangeable gears, the ones with two holes for the cam's dowel pin are interchageable, like Skunk2's. If you are feeling adventurous, I guess you could drill it yourself, but it needs to be precise. There's a pretty good pic of the two holes in their garagae sale (Evo cam gears);

Fidanza makes them as well (two dowell pin holes one for Evo/one for DSM):

I know when I built my GSX the builder put OEM Evo cam gears on my head. As far as adjustable cam gears unless you have the ability to tune them yourselves right, the price to have them tuned isnt worth the small hp gain I have been told anyways. They are for those trying to squeeze all the power out that they can.
