With the EVO now being extinct, does that mean the value of the IXs goes up?

Supply and demand right? Since the 9 is often considered the best EVO ever made (or the last true EVO ever made) doesn't logic suggest that it could go the way of the Supra and become a highly sought after collector's car? If that's the case, when would be the best time to sell my car?

Its all about the 8, the 9 was just a refined copy of the almighty evo 8. The First legal evo for sale in the u.s. so ill sell mine to you for $55000. Lmao. Its still just a fast 4 door family car.

Well they stopped making nine's a long time ago. They might get a resale bump with this news but I doubt it.
I think in terms of collect-ability, the Evo 6 TM's are the best. Actually the CP9A platform is probably the most desirable considering it's connection to the WRC championships.
Others will be what people are willing to pay. It takes cars a long time to start going up in value due to collect-ability and remember even highly collectable cars like old mustangs and supras don't really return anything compared to initial MSRP.

^+1 the evo has always been legendary at least to me in the sense that its in my top 5 of best import all around. The 8 will prob be more sought after since it was the first in 03 to set foot on u.s soil. The 9 will be up there as well however it was just redefined. The x's are great and all but it was completely redone and imo mitsu went the wrong direction with going to the 4b11. But hey who knows give em 20 years with it and it could be better than our 4g motors. But the evos are already gaining status. They sell for way over blue book constantly. A buddy of mine sold his 03 8 with 90k+ miles for 18k with wheels intake and exhaust. I got mine for 14k with 80k miles and. Blue book was only 10k at the time so I consider myself lucky. If the demand goes up for these it would be great however mine will not be for sale.

that sounds about right to me, I'm guessing they may hold there value a little more, but not increase. Why would they? Maybe we should ask all the guys with Firebirds in their garage with under $10,000 miles on them. How much did they go up in value? .... zero.
