To buy or not to buy?

I am looking for a daily driver while I build my Talon Tsi. I know Evos are good cars, but how is the reliability and cost of maintance compared to other cars? I know there is probably a million forums on this, but I am just looking for quick answers if this is a good idea or not.

The three threads above are yours. All three cover the exact same questions you asked today. I have no doubt that folks will be more than happy to help out, if you tell them what information didn't get posted the first three times around.

Let's see if I get this right: You're going off to college and you want an Evo. As you only have ~$12K-$15K to spend, you're looking at higher mileage cars. With this in mind, you want to know whether such a car will serve as reliable, non-costly daily transportation. The answer will always be a No.

If you're looking for a dd while you build something, get something economical (honda accord, civic, nissan altima, etc). they have way less issues.
