Hey guys I'm from Pittsburgh area and bought my first evo last summer end from a Dick in new York. I'm 19 now and when I bought the car it was running around 600 and by the end of the first 1000 miles spun a bearing so over the winter I pulled the motor and did a build using top of the line everything spending a **** load. But well worth so far, I did pull the motor and everything myself with a couple other buddies with way more knowledge but now its time to pick the motor up from the shop and drop her back in so I'm looking for all the best pointers tips anyone can offer while starting this next week, always harder getting it back in but I am very organized bolts and labels wise .. for the motor 4g64 Billet rods 1,400 hd Pistons, new crank and every other top of the line part in the motor machined by b&r. Shep 5 spd tranny, exedy triple, torque motor mounts, fic 2150s, AMS fuel rail, vband and for the turbo I'm first gonna run is an oversized garret GT35 r just to start and see what numbers it can make. Now I am going to be putting this back in and will update the minute I do but for now if anyone can point me with some good tips common mistakes made etc.. what's the best oil to start up run on first ? Switching from a double to triple disk any different setup ? Any tips are always helpful!
