ok guy, so where the upper radiator hose is, connects to the inlet or outlet, but it is right inbetween the cam gear sensors, hopefully u follow so far, remove the upper radiator hose and i believe there is either 3 or 4 bolts, i'd like to think it's 10mm socket. In side you'll fing the thermostat.

The thermostat is connected to the upper radiator pipe near the head. If you take the upper pipe off you can actually see the thermostat in the housing if you look.

All you need to do is take the upper radiator pipe off and remove the housing, remove old thermostat, and pop the new one in, put the housing back on tighten the bolts, connect the upper rad pipe back and top off coolant

like everyone else said. follow your upper radiator hose from the radiator and it ends at the thermostat housing

The hose connects to a housing. The top of the housing can be removed. Its held in by 3 bolts. If you take the hose off, then take the 3 bolts out of the top of the housing (might be snug on there, just move it back and forth until it pops off) then you'll see the thermostat. The thermostat just sits in there. Simply pick it up and out of the housing (maybe you want to get a towel/rag and clean the housing) then put the new thermostat in. Then, replace the housing and hose

It will leak. At least I think so - the rubber grommet on the thermostat is what seals the housing.

you can run with no Tstat...just gut the housing and bolt the housing back on.It will take you motor forever and a day to reach proper operating temp though

when you start moving the engine temperature will drop below operating temperature...

im not sure why you would even go without a thermostat. they arent even expensive and there is no benefit from it
