Thanks for this information. I was wondering the same thing, All of the mods I've done were professional using high quality parts so good to know this.

If you do return the car to stock, please let the future owner what was done to it. Leave it up to them whether or not they want to buy it. Either way-it will sell. Honesty is the best policy.

I would say as long as the mods can be easily removed/changed out, buy modded. Always a plus when you can get stock parts with a sale. Might be worth the extra money if they’re willing to part with them.

In the same boat

Man I have a beautiful Evo x that has been perfectly set by road race engineer just A few high quality bolt ons and coil overs from Road race engineering but I live in California and need to sell it. I have all the stock parts if someone wants them. But I was thinking of selling it with everything on including the ohlin coil overs I have on it. Any ideas ?

Having all the stock parts in CA is key. It's good that you kept them and it should sell for a good price as is. No need to go back to stock.

Thanks man. I almost cried know I have to part with it. Because I know I’ll never have one again in this condition. But I have to and have a kid on the way

The way prices are looking for EVO's on Bring a Trailer I would go back to stock! Crazy prices for them right now. Wish I still had mine to sell!

I am not sure if it will help with the resale value of the car but all I have been seeing recently is cars modded selling way over what is worth.

Good advice, I too thought the post was asking for advice before reading. Yeah, probably not good to try to pass off a modded Evo as stock.

Dont give up any old evo parts..its just not worth the money and parts are becoming so expensive since everything seems to be getting discontinues lately. I regret selling basically all my old evo parts and am finding myself having to buy them back at huge mark ups because I cant find them anywhere else. Im basically hoarding evo parts now..Unless someone is willing to pay alot for them (im talking not much less than a mitsu dealer would charge if not more if its discontinued) then hold onto it. Simply not worth it.
