tein lowering springs?

I just picked a set of Tein S. Tech II springs for 100$ and I've heard mixed reviews from people on them. So I'm just curious as to what you guys think about them.

They drop the front 2" and the back 0.9"

Just lookin for some reviews as to if i should resell them or install them

Thanks,
Tim

I haven't used them myself but I do have Hotchkis springs. I bought them after a lot of research and I absolutely love them. The spring rate is near stock, little softer in the front and a little firmer in the back. With this setup, I've got the best of both worlds, better handling and better ride quality. Front spring rate is stiff enough in the front and a lot of aftermarket springs provoke understeer from the geometry by being too stiff up front.

Just my .02

We were overcharged, then.

Please don't confuse the effects of changing the springrate with the effects of lowering the car. They sometimes have the same end result, but for very different reasons.

No first hand experience because I avoided them

every one I know who ever ran them eventually ended up with blown struts so i would not use them.

I've had them on my car since I bought it, 30K miles ago and unknown before then and no blown struts.

Personally, I wouldn't use them. It looks good sure, but it makes the ride too rough to comfortably DD(completely ignoring the fact that I have/do).

Personally, I've been looking looking for a set of bilsteins and swift springs...

"too rough to comfortably DD" I assume you mean designated driving? (if I'm wrong, its because I'm retarded.)

do you mean the ride is too stiff, or to loose/bouncy?

Thanks...at least I got the 2nd part right...so only half retarded...I'm working up to normalcy day by day.

I'm still curious to see if he meant too loose or to stiff

I would just resell them back and pick up a set of swift springs. Do you have KYB or Bilsteins struts?

how are they stiff? they are like the softest springs availible , my friend evo 9 had them for 50k miles.. no blown struts and the ride was certainly not stiff, it felt stock imo. and he showed me that the car still handled great , put them on and try them yourself, btw there is a million threads talking trash about S-techs.
