Is it ok?
I am planing a trip to go get tuned at Moon Performance in the up coming weeks, Now my question is.. is it ok to drive my car there with the mods i plan to install before hand.
Right now i have Cosworth m2 cams, Cobb SF intake and walbro 255.
I plan to install Invidia g200 turbo back, manual boost controller, and 660cc injectors i just ordered from a member on here.
Would it be ok to make the 1.5-2 hour drive with all those mods on a stock tune.
I would be staying out of boost as much as i could, the boost controller will be turned down all the way. And it will be mostly freeway speeds 65-80mph.

Get ECUFlash & tactrix cable and have your tuner send you a base map with 660cc injectors already scaled. You may be able to drive it without them being scaled but it will drive like poop and foul out your plugs by the time you get there. Why not just wait to install the injectors when you get there, they take like 5 mins to do...
You will be fine for the brief drive it'll take to get to the tuner. 660cc injectors are not much bigger than stock. You might not get the best mileage and the car might not run completely smooth the whole time, but you will not damage anything by conservatively driving 2 hours with those mods without a tune.
I wouldn't get anything smaller than 8##cc injectors. No point, especially if you're modifying your car since you'll probably max them out and need to upgrade again.
I would DEF contact STM, get a basemap from them, and then drive to thier facility to get a tune. It'll be worth it!

With that set up I would drive it just stay out of boost and you should be fine. With those injectors I do agree with Jalal I would go bigger for future upgrades with the car.

I too will be getting a tune soon from a local tuner. I am more concerned about my car stalling than anything else. STM is great I bet, your other alternative is to go back OEM and install when you get there. GL
i wouldnt see why not, i did something similar years back, and got cams, cam gears, walboro, and toke a decent ride to get tuned no problems at all. but i did notice after the tune the car ran great. i would go easy while driving it until after you get your badboy tuned

lets see, Drive 4-5 hours to stm and Ivey, or drive 1.5 hours to moon...im only going to a 660 because i am not going to be adding more mods, not switching turbo sizes. Im not building a race car. Its my daily driver just upgrading things to make it run better and be a little faster.
I might not even upgrade the injectors. I have read on here people get close to maxing them out with the mods i have but only to 80-90% duty cycle.
i bought the 660 because im getting them for a really good price.
