Getting ready to take my car to buschur, any recommendations?

Hello fellow enthusiasts, i have put my first 2000 miles on my evo and its ready for a check up, while its there im going to have gauges installed, new tubing, also a new tune. I want to be able to take my car on road trips and not worry, thinking of bumping down to 19psi, and re tuning. Thoughts??

You have a tune from CBRD...why are you getting a retune when there should be no need

I didnt know if dropping my boost would effect my tune in a negative way.

Don't drop the boost, that will not make the car more reliable. The tune is what makes or breaks the car. Hell, I ran 26psi on pump gas for a year and now running 29psi until I switch back to pump gas. I might would even turn up the boost on your car and retune

Yea your already making great power with the small list of mods on the stock 8 turbo. What are your goals besides retuning it at a lower boost pressure and making less power?

The guys above me have said enough. A retune isn't necessary until you change up mods. You can turn down the boost without a retune, the car will run richer but it won't hurt it.

You don't have to worry about your car at all if it is already tuned. It really depends how you drive your car.

^ agreed. lowering the boost won't matter if it's got a good tune. You only see the boost when you really get on it anyway.

Lowering the boost to 19 psi is silly. I road race my stock block at 26+ psi. If CBRD tuned the car already you should not need another tune. They do great work there. Chad isn't going to give you a tune that will blow up driving it around.

You can lower the boost while taking long trips with your right foot, and not fiddle with the tune.

When your cruising on the highway you shouldnt be boosting much, or very little. If your a digital driver with the gas pedal either conmpletely floored or not at all then I would look at your driving style. Just because your evo is tuned at 23 psi, doesnt mean you have to boost 23 psi between every red light.
