Seeing if anyone knew around what power you start having cylinder distortion, please specify dynojet/mustang. Thanks in advanced!
Mike have you all had any blocks split? I don't want to fill the block because this is a street car, but I know if I ever port the head and put some real cams in it, its gonna make 900 easy. Should I start looking into a destroyer or just see how far and long this 2.0 will last lol

Really? You have no overheating issues street driving either? What kind of cooling setup are you running. This is what I was thinking of doing if I found out it could be done
It might help with the head cooling which is were most of the heat is created. I would use a bigger overflow reservoir to make up for the volume difference, maybe a lower setting thermostat and use the super cool additive. I'd like to hear what the guys that have done it think.
They make a special block filler but yeah its just like concrete or a stiff grout. V8 guys been doing it forever. It stiffens up the cylinder walls so they don't distort and alot of drag cars that are still using a stock style block may be completely filled but your talking about a short couple seconds of run time then shut down.
Yes, when you starting making a decent amount of power it creates a TON of cylinder pressure and if not reinforced, that pressure will go where it's not supposed to and split/distort your cylinders
