front lower control arm bolt???

slowly getting my car back together, was making good progress than this bolt!!

its the bolt for the front lower control arm. the one that goes up and down into the frame. for some reason it just will not thread. I didn't do anything crazy to it. it just came straight out. upon inspection, it looks like the top 2 threads are really thin. I ordered new bolts and am crossing my fingers but god this is a biznatch of a car to work on.

so the bolts will just not grab on to the body. i even tried to put the bolt on without the lca in and no bueno. anyone had any problems like this??

The nut it threads to sits inside a cage, inside the subframe. It's very likely it popped out of the cage. You have to cut a hole in the subframe, and place the nut back in the cage. I dont think there is a way around this.

youre going to have to cut open your subframe and weld that bolt, then weld your subframe back together
I am going through this right now

I figured it out. nothing wrong with the bolt. the subframe wasn't lining up with the frame. so i just loostened it up juggled it and the bolts went in. victory is mine!!

so my evo is all back together and wow what a feeling. I missed her soo soo much.
