Have any of you ever filed a diminished value claim?
My Evo was bumper tapped to the tune of $1500 or so. I wonder if it is worth it to file a diminished value claim as it will likely be reported to carfax or the like.

if just the bumper is damaged then it should be a lot cheaper the 1500!
also if your talking about the rear bumper, when you replace it make sure you get a jdm bumper..
as for reporting it, i wouldn't for such a small amount considering you probably have to pay a deductible

I have heard of insurance companies sometimes paying out on diminished value, however you don't have much of a case unless you have significant amount of damage and structural repairs.
