WHP Guesstimates?

I think I've figured out the setup I'm gonna run with but want some opinions before I order. This will be on good ole' Utah premium 91 octane and stock motor. Anyone have a guess at what this will put out on a Mustang Dyno? Anyone have a guess as to highest boost without knock or high risk of torching the bottom end?

FP Red
BR TB w/ HFC
BR Race FMIC w/ upper & lower IC pipes
HKS 272's
880cc Injectors
Walbro 255
BR ported stock manifold
BR Mass Air Pipe & Filter
And tune of course

Thanks,
Anthony

I'm gonna go with 370-380... 91 oct is gonna kill you. Probably no more than 26lbs of boost as well.

If there is any way you can source some e85 , you will hit at least 450awhp.

As much as I would love to it's a 100 miles round trip to the closest station.
I'm wanting to hit between 390-410 to the wheels, any help? I've read the o2 housings are a good investment but who has the best one?

As for tuning I'm not positive but so far I'm thinking Turbo Labs in Orem. I might go with an AEM stand alone as well but haven't decided yet.

Another option would be to use 100oct. Gas, and mix down to 93oct. Cali only sells 91 at most pumps, but there are a few that sell 100 VP at the pump. I mix that down to 93 and my car runs better. Evo 8s were designed to use 93 from the factory, not sure about 9s.

If you can't get E85, then I would suggest looking into meth/water injection. You will see some great gains running meth injection. Just be sure to get a high quality kit like Aquamist.

Why do you want to run a stand alone? The stock ecu is more than capable of being tuned for the setup you are wanting to run.

Mostly for the ease of tuning with the AEM unit, but I also like the ease of swapping tunes with it. Coming from the diesel world I can't believe there is nothing like "EFI Live" as far as simplicity goes for the gas world. Being able to switch tunes with the turn of a dial is A+.

Edit- Wherever you got that mix chart, it's far from accurate. I know from racing MX that 1 gallon of 110 and a gallon of 91 only amounts to about a 93 octane mix. It's far more complicated than that chart shows.

Here is an alternate mix chart for 91/100.

Id also say do meth if you wanna hit closer to 400. Also, go to some FP4R,s S2's, or Kelford 272's over the HKS 272's.

I guess I either mis understood what I was told or the guy was talking out his ***. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Why can I not find any info about switching tunes on stock ECU with a switch?

My tuner runs his FP Black on 91 here in Cali and makes just over 400 dynojet and he is using more agressive cams than the ones you want to use. I think you'll be very hard pressed to accomplish your goals on 91 with those mods. I'm gonna guess more like 350 mustang numbers with those mods. Maybe less. Go bigger turbo and more agressive cams and you will be close. Meth injection would probably get you the best results if you are dead set on that turbo and cam setup. The boost is gonna depend on a number of factors so just get a good tuner to figure that out for you.
