Gotta love the Seafoam treatment. I became VERY familiar with it for my RX-8. Glad to know that it crosses over into the Evo world as well.

Here's a how to video if anyone is interested in seafoaming your evo. I've done this 2nd so far and it worked great.

I've always seafoam the car, drive it hard for a few mins, then do an oil change right after.

Just so people know you don't use seafoam with e85. The ethanol in the fuel will do the same thing and keep your motor clean, but nice vid

Is the vacuum technique safe? As in what if you happen to let it suck in to much and stall will it start back up with no damaging side effects.

You'll be fine though you may have to reconnect the hose to get the car started back up. Or you can just let it marinate for 10 minutes or whatever the instructions say and then go driving.

If it stalls, reconnect the hose and start it back up. Just be smart about it. Do a little at a time, you'll know when your car is about to stall.

Also it helps if you have a 2nd person in the car to keep the revs up.

Or you could just feather the throttle with your other hand, I mean it's right there in the same general area.
