ECU Problem. Somebody Please Help Me...

Maybe it is a good idea not to f**k around with your ECU after a few beers. (Its chrismas eve though...)

Anyway, Installing my HKS EVC 6.

You need to splice 2 ECU wires. 1 for TPS & 1 for vehicle speed.

I printed out the pins for the ECU, found the right ones (Pin 84 & Pin 86) I was very stupid and read them backwards, and spliced pin 88 (cam position sensor) and pin 90 (MAS Sensor).

For some reason, these are closed circuited when connected to the boost controller.

In essence I have shorted the cam position sensor with the MAS sensor.

Is my ECU now f****d? It will not start, even with these splices removed.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe maybe not, not knowing the voltages that go across those wires, it is totally possible you fried something or perhaps even removing the splices you still broke the connection. Check and make sure you are still getting continuity across those wires you messed with.

Thanks for the reply. The wires are still in tact. everything is how it should be. The splices just cut through the insulation. Everything is pointing to a buggered ECU. But I didn't want to fork out for a new ECU and that not be the problem. Are Mitsu able to test the ECU or can they just plug the diagnostics in to see what is wrong?
