general question about hub bearing

I am replacing my front wheel hub tommorow, I ordered the part through advance auto for 140 for hub assy. Now I have a 05 gsr with abs....they said that the abs assy is dealer only!!! No way!! I looked and searched and looked then searched some more....since im inly replacing the hub assy that has the four bolts and studs not the knuckle or anything ....shouldn't the hub I ordered still work even though it says no abs....because there is.literally just four bolt holes and the bearing....input is appreciated.

Hub/bearing is not part of the ABS.

Change it.

ABS sensor is in the knuckle and the ring gear is on the axle itself.

Takes no time at all to replace. Good luck! And don't listen to idiots at Advance. They know nothing about EVO's. Go to the dealer to get your important parts. Might cost a bit more but I don't like taking chances with my baby lol

Unless you work at Advance and own an Evo...

Doesn't happen that often, I'm sure, but it's just a something to do while
I finish up school.

That's not bad. Remember, quality comes with a price. Also we aren't driving Kia's.

Amen brother, I worked there too when I was going to school.
I got to agree, part stores almost hire ANYONE these days, BUT
Not all guys that work at part stores are idiots. You got to shop around, and when you find some knowledgeable workers, go to them for your stuff.

Next time, if you need to get a part from the dealer, ask advance to call the dealer. Advance can put it on their account so you can get a discount and then pay cash when you get to the dealer. Not all advanced auto's will do this but its always worth to ask.

Hey man I think it might be better to do all 4 wheel bearings at once. Othere wise everyfew weeks youre going to have to do one. Once one starts to go that the early warning that the rest of them will shortly be on their way out as well.
