310whp, 8800 miles, stock clutch and can't wait spring to begin modding again.

I have 18,400 replaced stock POS clutch with ACT set up. Put on winter tires at 14,000. I also have HKS cat back. Waiting for Greddy Profec spec II soon.

I agree with SC.

Leaving your foot on the pedal (even if it's only pressed in a 1/2") increases the wear on the throw-out bearing on the pressure plate. It will still outlast your clutch disk and pressure plate.

If you're not launching the car or doing 2nd gear starts, you should get 50K+ from the clutch - and that's assuming all city driving. If you can't shift smoothly, you'll accelerate the wear, but based on your (Scot) experience with manuals, I'd hope you are beyond this point. A lot of use doesn't affect a clutch the same as abuse. Show me a clutch worn out after 10K miles on any car, and I'll show you a car that's been launched and/or a driver that doesn't know how to properly shift.

ADVANs still have about 5-6000 miles left before bald..


Oh yeah, and I've never had "lunch" in it...

13,000k miles on a stock clutch, I have drag raced it multiple times and street race it frequently I love this damn car.

21,500 miles stock clutch, br turbo back exhaust, dynoflashed,hks racing suction kits hks 272 cams, and no problems. I now have the twin disk clutch ready to go in.
