Cylinder 4 reading low

Cylinder 4 reading low

MY EVO 8 IS NOT A 100% WHERE IT SHUD BE RIGHT NOW,CYCLINDER 4 IS READING A LOW 85 WHILE THE OTHER 3 IS AT 160..WHATS A SIMPLE FIX FOR THIS AND HOW MUCH WUD IT BE?

Any other information? Was the engine warm? Did you put a few drops of oil in the cylinder?

Do a leakdown test that will point you in the right direction. depending where compression is leaking it could be an issue in the head or bottom end.

But agreed on the leak down test. I have a similar problem b ut mine is cyl 2 and 3

You most likely have a ring problem in one cylinder.

Yep, I agree...you will have to get it honed and do oversize rings below you lose complete compression...stay out of boost
