Evo 9 HID Kits Vendors around?
I can tell you the bulbs I received from DDM and the Philips bulbs that come stock in the Evo (w/ ssl) are different. The base of the DDM bulbs are constructed almost entirely of plastic where the Philips had a metal support bracket to hold the glass. Even the electrode on the DDM bulbs were slightly crooked. Even looking into the chemical reaction involved in producing the light intensity. The major brands poured countless amounts of money into purfi...
I was going to continue more into this but it's just a waste of time. It's your money, go buy what you want. Pick up a Megan exhaust manifold while you are at it.

i have a set of 50w 4300k morimotos purchased from theretrofitsource.com. i'm running them on my tsx retrofitted headlights. the output is pure white, very intense and consistent. i'm not havingany issues whatsoever with flickering or anything.
my brother purchased a set of DDM's 4500k 55w a few months ago. his ddm 4500k's were very blue; they looked just like my old 6000k hids. at first i thought they made a mistake on his order and put 6000k bulbs instead, but his bulbs were labeled 4500k. one of his headlights started to flicker about a month afterwards and sometimes it wouldn't turn on; he would have to switch his headlights on and off until they came on. then about 2 months after that, it just completely went out.
i know DDM has lifetime warranty on their kits, but i've heard it's very difficult to get to them. i've heard MANY good reviews and a fair bit of bad ones on DDM, but from what i've seen with my brother's set, they don't seem to have very good QC. his bulbs looked NOTHING like 4300k as advertised, and there quality just isn't there if it started to go out after a few months of usage.

I was also looking into the retrofit source kit. I was just wondering, for the harness u would need the 9006 harness right? Also I was just wondering what bulb size I would need to fit the base in a Evo IX? Sorry for the noob question, I just recently picked the car up.
