I was driving around and something blew when i gunned it from 1 to 2 gear the car just like turned off, idk wth happen. Car can turn on if i keep hiting the gas doesnt sound right when it does, when i let go of gas it turns off. Also there is like smoke coming from the engine when i try to crank it.. Also 1 week ago i replaced my headgasket, also my mechanic replace a few exhaust valves do to old ones hiting the pistons, also the pistons had a few hits from the valves, any help would be helpful.

 

you should really stop messing with your evo and take it to an evo specific shop to get things sorted out. stop trying to start it and just tow it to the shop. with the info you provided im guessing the motor is toast, and you further damaged it by cranking and gassing it, forcing it to keep running.

Is there a crack in your pistons???? Its possible that you are burning oil because a piece got hit from your pistons and now oil is coming out and burning through the hole. If so, youre in trouble.

Evos are just to much trouble, I fixed one thing then the next thing breaks. I will fix this tommorow... The motor works fine. Its somthing else.

 

The car died on me in the middle of the road, I turned it on with a few cranks and drove it home I also drove it over 20mph, When i came to a stop it just turned off, so the car runs when it is moving, somthing is def not right..

 

Take it to the shop, the Mitsubishi shop and don't look back. It sounds way to bad for superkizuna to understand.

 

K dude listen, i preach this everywhere i post...take this EVO to a EVO shop...idc if its only a boost leak...if you dont know what your doing, no touchy...please just find your closest tuner/evo guy and get it done

 

The retainers bent buddies, my mechanic just opened it up. So there fore the problem was not my fault.

 

ps...when you see smoke f-ing stop everything

 

Then sell it.

You need qualified people to work on it or a bigger bankroll.

Evos and other turbo cars are same crap, no need to have qualified ppl, when I know how to fix it all. :]

 

obviously u dnt knw how to fix it all if u kept driving around wondering y it was shutting off. im new to the evo scene and i knw that if a car is smoking shut the damn thing off and leave it alone. and evos rnt to much trouble or "turbo cars" in general, its the people who own them and dnt maintain them that do the most b*tchin.
