Will a tune finally resolve this issue???!

Ok guys. 05 evo 8 rs, ever since i got the car ive had the dreaded rpm hang, regardless if i went to redline or not at wot. the car came with act clutch(1.5 yrs old), aem truboost, TBE and i believe thats it. i knw of the previous 2 owners who baby'd the hell outta the car, and ive dne the same so far( still have yet to launch it). wat ive dne so far is changed drive train fluids, underhood shifter bushings, licp, ordering intercooler next week, and evo9 dv. so before i do my e85 and pump has tune in the next couple months(yes i knw i need injectors and a new fuel pump before hand lol) is a tune gonna sort out this rpm hang in ne way, or is this just an issue i have to deal with or wat? personally i can adjust to shifting a bit slower at WOT, but would prefer to not have to. neways, ne input from u guys would b great...its been almost 2 months ive had the car and have yet to get the issue resolved.....o and last weekend i did the TB shaft seals...

Have you moved or relocated the throttle cable from the stock location?

Did you try adjusting the clutch pedal? The clutch disc wears down over time based on the mileage of the clutch.

Finally i've found the problem. The throttle body had carbon build-up right where the butterfly needs to close so the butterfly sometimes would get stuck and not close properly.

For anybody out there with the same issue, clean the throttle body.It takes a bit of elbow grease and patience, old tooth brush and engine cleaner or something similar.
