When I fill up gas,EVO doesn't start up! HELP

So every time i fill up some gas the car doesn't wanna fire up.I would have to step on the gas pedal for it to start up.

What would be the solution? i was thinking a bad fuel pump, just got it too(walbro 255)

*causing idle issue( already changed idle Speed Control Motor)

HELP

I have the same problem as you, or at least very similar.

After I gas up it will sorta stutter, sometimes stall. Usually I just push the clutch in and let it run, the idle will smooth out after about 45 seconds or so.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you as far as the cause, but I would think if it was a fuel pump you would have problems other times as well right?

Maybe flip the ignition to "ON" for a few seconds before trying to turn it over? to let the pump prime up first? Just a guess / .02

I dont think he is referring to pull out the pump. What i would suggest is to take off the rear seat , put your ear near the pump area. Have someone turn the ignition on and off . If you hear the pump great, its priming.
Now does this only happen everytime you fill up the tank only? Have you tried not filling it to the top? If so, does it still happen?
If this happens everytime you start the car then I would take out the connector from the fuel pump housing and test to see if power is coming to the connectors when you turn the key on.

Start from there then move your way towards the front of the car...

Everytime I fill up on gas, didn't matter how much i added. This never happen with the stock pump, usually I can hear the pump prime from the driver seat.

Thanks for the help guys! Gotta burn some gas first
