Front facing turbo in Heavy Rain Storm / flood ...

What are some of the problems you may have to your engine or turbo kit, when you have a Front Facing Turbo, highway driving and caught in a heavy rain storm / flood ?

thanks

Buschur includes a blockoff plate in his kits for the front for that exact reason. Water in the turbo can damage it,and get enough water to the engine and you could hydrolock it.

I've driven through torrential downpour normally and I've been ok so far I have a Vibrant Filter on the turbine and so far so good.

Ive driven in heavy Arizona moonsoons, where it floods everywhere. As long as you have a good seal on the intake and the turbo, and obviously don't go motor boating your car on deeper waters (hydrolock), I have never had a problem. I also have a huge intercooler.
