gauge pod HELP

hello everybody i have a question. i want to get your guys input on which gauge pod to go with since somebody here must have had either one. i am trying to go with either the steering column gauge pod or lower gauge pod the one that mounts under the AC unit. my concern is if i go with the lower gauge pod will it be easy to read as far as boost, AFR? and is the steering pod any better?
your help will help me a lot so i can order the right peace.
Thank you very much.

There is a whole thread on gauge clusters on here with interior shots.
But...my personal favorites are the gruppe s which requires a radio relocation kit and takes the place of your stock located radio (no longer in production but can still find) and the ATI which is also an OEM fitment on the column.

Gruppe S next to the HVAC

I have the Autometer dual steering column pod on my 8 and I like it.

Perfect visibility of my boost gauge and wideband.

I found the steering wheel pod is excellent for boost as long as it doesn't block your cel light like mine does (makes flash on knock almost useless). When I got the car it was mounted in the stock MR gauge but that position made it almost impossible to watch when trying to keep an eye on more important things like speed and rpm.

I agree. I have a dual steering column pod and I hate it! I want to throw the thing away. Im going with a pillar pod. You can still see it and watch the road and all that good stuff!
