Okay, I'm confused.. I have a 06 MR.

And my stock bov #1545A001 with the gold top looks like this..

I read some forums saying all the evo's in US are plastic. So I ordered the "JDM" bov #1545A001 with the silver top...

So which one holds more boost? Or are they the same?

 

evo 8's came with plastic blow off valves while the evo 9's came with metal ones

from what i know the 2 mentioned bovs are actually the same, so they would hold the same boost

if you want to hold more boost you can always "crush" your metal bov so it holds boost like a champ

 

The one with the gold top is the old Evo 9 JDM MR BOV. The new ones that you can buy from Mitsu will now all be silver tops. FYI, the Evo X BOV is the same as the EVO 9 MR BOV. They just changed the coating so its silver.
