Clutch engages at the top

Had my clutch replaced at my buddies shop last month or so, I got it and the engage point was about the middle. Now I've slowly noticed that the clutch is getting higher and higher and well now it's at the top again where it went out. So that obviously has me worried. I'm driving it fine, only done about 10 real launches and usually don't ride it too much. Has about 5k miles on it.

I will be taking it to them to adjust it tomorrow since I couldn't turn the rod, it was really slippery. Could my clutch really be going out that fast again?

10 launches... Depends on how u drive.
You can always test to see if it's slipping.
Do the launch control test, and see if the car moves forward while clutch is depressed.

Any idea how I can get a better grip on that rod?

Also what is the launch control test? Just got this EVO so very new.

I used needle nosed vise grips and turned mine a quarter turn at a time. It's very very easy.
