Evo stall after new coils

Hi,

My Evo 8 has a missfire under heavy accelleration, no matter what gear. I have replaced the spark plugs, to NGK BPR7EIX gapped to .026inches, and still missfires. Tried going to .032, and .035, still missfires.
Recently bought Yellow Jacket coilpacks, installed them today and now the car starts, idles for less than 10 seconds (about 7 or 8) and then dies instantly. Not like running out of petrol, instantly cuts out. I tried holding revs in at 2000 and it still died on me.
Disconnected the battery for like 10-15mins to reset the ECU and that did nothing.
Swapped back to the stock coils and the car idled perfectly (but still missfires under heavy acceleration).
Help?

Regards,
Lachlan

Standard plug gap was .032inch, and i went to .026 and the problem got worse. started missfiring earlier in the rev count. So i went higher and it got a bit better, as in missfired higher up, but the issue still remains.

Update

Gapped the plugs to .022inches as suggested, still missfiring. Went back to Yellow Jacket (YJ) coils with the stock evo leads, did not hold idle and cut engine after 7 seconds like before.
Changed to stock evo oils with YJ leads and the car idled for as long as I wanted it to, however when driving and coming to a stop, the car was idling at like 500-600 rpm instead of 900-1000 rpm. Was missfiring also (all missfiring is under heavy acceleration. Slow acceleration does not cause a problem throughout the rpm band and all gears).
Im in contact with the supplier of the coils so I can get a new pair as I believe mine are faulty.

Any more suggestions?

What are you AFRs at WOT.
Try br8es the copper one they are cheaper and one step colder. Maybe the 7s are running to hot and blowing out your spark.

Gap the br8es to .022

Ive ordered some new plugs - BPR8ES

Also, I want to get to the bottom of the coil issue. the Yellow Jacket coils should not be turning my car off after 7 seconds of perfect idling...any idea why the heck it is happening?
Been in contact with Paul from Performance-Wise (suplier of YJ coils) and he is completely stumped. Tried swapping boots, leads, nothing works. When I use 1 OEM coil and 1 YJ coil, the car idles so rough the car shakes.

I have tried disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU, this did not fix the problem.
Is there some sort of ECU change needed to be made to allow aftermarket coils?

No, it hasn't been tuned. It still missfired before I installed the fuel pump. Is there some sort of option or tune for new coil packs to be 'registered' on the car?
