Where can I buy a Miata\Civic\Group51 battery tray

Is there a vendor that sells one? If not I would think there is a market for it... Sort of like the short route piping for the stock battery CBRD makes. Its just that the price is a lil excessive.

I don't want to run a mini battery (because of harsh winters) and I would prefer the short route piping. (because of the size of the Tial Q bov)

ah i've been pondering this. so it seems a good portion that runs the 51r battery fabs up their own stuff. there is a market for it, just no one has mass produced, i hope it changes.
but... dont expect the price to be any lower than 100 bucks. so it seems thats the range for the mini batts.

I just make one from the stock tray, whether it be for the 51 or a mini batt.

I had one made. It's good because its a cross that goes under the battery but over the tray. I used a nylock under the tray and ran a threaded rod thru it. It costed about 90 to have it perfectly fabbed up but well worth it. it took me about 3 months to decide on miata or honda but the honda is more conventional to recharge vs the miata plus the honda's CCA are closer to stock than the miata, but they both beat a mini batt any day. I'll take a pic when I get a chance, just pm me if I forget. haha

I guess i'm not understanding how to mount the battery. When the civic battery is placed vertical on the horizontal tray it sits on the lip not down in the tray.

you have to mount it sideways meaning you have to trim the sides and cut off the part closest to the engine if you want to use a short route uicp.

Look for my thread in the Part out FS section

I just sold it so I cant take pics, but i had a bracket made with tabs front and back to prevent it from moving forward or back in case the top bracket even loosens the bottom will still hold it in place temp

I'm running a Miata battery from O'Reilly Auto. It's an AGM battery but most other stores only sold acid filled batteries. I made the tray out of a piece of aluminum I had. I used a vice to bend it. Here's a pic.

^ I followed you info closely when deciding

You seem to have the muse/bushur SRUICP

You can actually use the stock tray (trim it)and mount that mita batt horizontally without having to remove the negative from the frame
