Question newbie troubleshoot with greddy profec 01

hey guys newbie here so bear with me. few weeks ago i picked up evo 8 from a dealer with a few mods done to it. the car doesnt seem to be running to it's potential. first off i spool up to 10 psi fairly quickly but struggle to get any more than that reading on boost gauge on greddy profec boost controler. while im at idle the gauge is reading 0 i think it should read vaccum and has when i reached down a few times at ECU to wiggle connections. that happened a few times so i tried to re-do the connections and now get nothing. any thoughts ideas?

What other mods does the car have? Does the car have a tune? You shouldn't just mess with the boost unless you are also tuning fuel and timing. It sounds to me like the connections for the boost controller aren't hooked up properly.

If I were you i'd trace through all the wiring and vacuum hoses and make sure it was installed properly. We all know how people de mod their cars when they turn them into a dealership. Try to find an install diagram of the profec 01 and go from there.

**edit**

Found this install guide. Not sure if you have this same unit but it could help.
