Say you have a VF30 turbo... what does the "VF" stand for?
if you have a 30g turbo... what does the "g" stand for?
if you have a 35r turbo... what does the "r" stand for?

I am new to turbos and boost. I'm trying to learn but got kinda hung up on these brandings they are using on the different turbos. Can anyone help me a little?

 

Anybody? My reason for asking is so 8I can better understand what other cars have turbos that may work on these evos?

 

R is ball bearing.
Gt is just a series
if its a number followed by rs means it is a ball bearing with an s cover
