I like the subie for a daily but the evo is such a good platform to just tinker with over an sti. Btw friend does track days i never have but do want to start. I also own a s2k and thats a totally different machine compared to an evo

I want to viegasjuice i am building my evo very slowly as i dont have a rich boy job or financing and i do my own work. I just redid my rearend with the wier performance 16 plate and got some enkie 18 x 10.5 rims with 285 tires all the way around. Im hoping to hit up autobahn blackhawk and hopefully road america this year for my first track days. As i said in my comment my friend does track race i dont hes a superior driver. My s2k is stockish so i like to just keep it as a dd for the nice weather works great handles awesome.

I agree man. They're very cocky. I like the car, not a fan of the owners.

It cracks me up. In my apartment there's atleast 6 WRXs and 2 STIs. And the STIs are real clean. But I have the only Evo and I always get the mean mugs from them. So every chance I get to **** them off, I take it haha. Like this one time they were working on a focus next to my Evo so I did the usual, started her up and let her sit and warm up. Except this time it was for a couple extra minutes. I could hear them *****ing and I couldn't stop laughing. Turns out they don't like the evo's exhaust sound/smell

I rarely get STIs doing that to me. It's mostly the WRXs which is always a good laugh.

Better than a civic doing it or those stupid infinitis. I love my evo, even though ive only had it for a month. Nothing beats getting a car youve wanted for YEARS. Im just glad most owners of the evo crowd dont come off as cocky. I love our econoboxes.

I think evo owners have less to prove and have the car to back it up to eorry about that petty evo vs sti. the sti in most cases was our second choice but will always opt for the evo keys when ready to beast on the road!!!

In a way I agree. The better car has nothing to prove therefore why bother being cocky. But then you have the supra crowd(i love supras) who think they have the "beat all machine". I love supras but what a terrible crowd of owners in general, very cocky about their car and full of excuses when they get outshun or something less than perfect is said of their vehicle.

I love supras and have to agree with what you said.. although.. i than think to myself if i had a 800+rwhp supra how would i act.. and it probably wouldnt be to far from it lol although im not really cocky but i would act rather confident about my car

lol...i would probably take a 03 evo over a 06 sti....
and this is coming from a sti owner...
you can't argue that the evo is just the all around better car, unless you're looking for "creature comforts", but even then the STi is not really ahead by much....

your going to mod either of them so just look at what is going to have the most benefits from the mods........EVO.

while i agree with the creature comforts the sti holds. i also agree that they are only slightly better.

i Have an 06 mr. and a 6 mo old. he loves it.
