Good Bye Evo
do police really stop people JUST for having an evo? i've been pulled over once when i first bought the car, because i was cut off by a large truck and hit 90mph to pass him up. totally my fault. lol. since then, i have never been messed with in this car, and i live in cali, where big exhausts supossedly get an automatic ticket. it's been about 7 years. i love my evo! i also have the bigass wing, so no one can say it's stealth!
It's for sale here in Edmonton, AB for 21K
Did you sell it for around 13K?

Good call . I didn't realize its the same car. If the op sold it for that low then this guy will make some coin if he can sell it . I wouldn't pay 19000$ for a car with that high of milage but that's just me.
I bought an evo 8 in sept 2012 and now have it at 500whp in vancouver, yet to be pulled over.
My car is low profile and wouldn't have any problems even in richmond. So you must have been driving like a racecar.

Ya and my Yamaha r1 is just like my little sister big wheel ? !!..... How and the hell can you compare a Evo to a civic, if that's the case we all would be driving civics and save our money ?!

I can see someone getting stopped in a town where they never sold it and thinking the wing was after market. I dunno. With the stuff you listed if that was the sickest evo in Vancouver then your car culture sucks. Lol.
Sounds like you weren't into the car as much as it was just to have thave ownership of an evo. Grade 12 evo owner. Your parents should've helped you understand how bad your decisions were.

Evo 8 and 9 weren't imported to Canada. So in the early days, if you owned one, that's it, you basically owned the 'fastest/sickest.whatever' because no one else had one
Still very rare up here. I see more Lambos than I do Evo's (8/9), tons of 10's as they are available here.

I live in Vancouver and have never had any problems from the lawman except for having tint on the front windows. Its actually pretty relaxed up here compared to other provinces when it comes to the car culture. It was the sickest evo in B.c (in the op's mind lol). I attracted 10x the heat with my 99 civic hatch...
I honestly don't think so. I think people exaggerate big time. I haven't owned mine long, but I've passed cops before, driven behind cops, had cops behind me, and nothing. Nobody really bothers me. My boyfriend had an STi, and same thing. Nobody ever bothered him either. They bother you if you drive/act like an idiot, which I've seen people do on many occasions and then wonder why they got a ticket.
Yeah this car has a cost which is higher than average. Begreatful that you atleast owned one and especially at such an early age most of us could even afford at that time since most of us ended up with civics and hondas in the begining even though its not a bad thing. Sad to see you leave just play your cards right and do more research in finding out more parts and doing the work yourself. Im sure youll come back I want to sell mine but I think I will regret it since im having so much fun with it.
