evo 8 hesitating? or clutch *video*

when i am in 4th or 5th gear a press the accelorator to speed up from 60 to 70ish around 3k rpm it jumps in rpm then goes back down and slowly goes back up as i accelorate

and sometimes when i hold the pedal something underneath the dash clicks, could it be some kind of throttle sensor or something
what do you guys think it is?

A boost leak will not allow the rpm to drop back down. If there is a leak it will hit a specific psi based on how big the leak is and not go any higher. It will kinda feel like the car is falling on it's face acceleration wise.

Very hard to diagnose over the internet... But do a boost leak, and check the BOV/ DV, to see if it's holding pressure. Also when is the last time you checked your plugs/ gap? Could be ignition break-up, among the many other things.

Also are you monitoring AFR? If so.. whats your AFR looking like when you get around that area of the rev range?

Is your clutch shot or not? You need to figure that out.

Logs of whats going on,in that particular time frame, would help out tremendously.
