injectors Upgrade Question

I want to go the E85 route. I believe I need to upgrade my injectors and was thinking of going with FIC 1050. Once I upgrade either at home or at a shop, can I drive it without a tune? The shop is a non-tuner shop.

My plan is to get it upgraded then setup up an e-tune/flash.

Thanks.

No, the injector latency & scaling will have to be adjusted. Otherwise it will probably drive like crap or maybe not at all. What injectors do you have now?

Injectors are easy to install. Buy the injectors & hold on to them till you schedule your next tune. Install them yourself right before your next e-tune or install them right before you jump on a dyno where your car will be tuned.

Just wanted to back up what has been said already... its probably best to wait and install the injectors at the same time you can at least load a base map retune on there to 'rough in' the injectors so the car will run ok. Then of course a custom tune to make sure everything is running at full potential shortly after is the way to go.

If you have any questions about injectors or what is best for your car please feel free to reach out to us by PMing me here or you can call us at (561) 427-0082.
