Define ebay seats. Are you getting used Evo 8/9/10 seats off ebay or a reputable name like sparco? If you are gonna buy some no name Racer Type R ebay seats, then no, I wouldn't trust them in my car, DD or track car. Just find some used seats or get yours reupholstered, that's what I'd do.

And they fit people over 5 and half feet. I love Brides but they dont fit my 6 4 ***.

He's probably referring to the Bride Thailand/Canada replicas sold by BATLGROUND in Atlanta.

I am 6'3" 230lb. Just got STATUS GT-X racing seats in ultra suede blue! Love them. STATUS is applying for FIA approval and not all their models are approved yet, but some are.

$950 each for fiberglass. More for CF etc....

If you get a racing seat, get them from a reputable company, not a knock-off replica. I had JDM Bride's and swapped to Sparco Evo's because the Bride's didn't include the sub strap holes needed for my racing org. Fake replica seats are very dangerous, they could crack/split or come off the mounts in an accident. It's not worth your life to save a few bucks and good seats like the Sparco's are really inexpensive anyway.

x2. I agree with everything he said. I think seats are one of those things you shouldn't go cheap on. If the rips aren't that bad and you can handle them, save up until you can afford good replacements.

My buddy has ebay seats in his 350. Right from experience, my opinion is suck it up and spend a couple hundred extra dollars and get real ones. The quality on his seats are complete and utter crap. They cheapen the entire look of an otherwise gorgeous car. Not to mention how uncomfortable they are. and one of them has something sticking up passed the foam and its a little hard circle and it pokes you in the rear. So that's awesome.

So yea just go for real seats. Buy used to save some cash just make sure they have proof that they're authentic.
