Grumbling noise just before idle?

So for the last week now I've had what i would describe as a grumbling noise right before my car catches idle at about 1k.

I would say the noise happens between 1100-1400 rpm.. But it doesnt always happen. Example: doesnt happen when i pull into my drive way or quick revs.. But it does happen if i'm cruising from one street light to another and stop. (sometimes) and sometimes when im leaving the stop light and begin to move at the same rpm range. The sound doesn't change whether the clutch is in or out.

Its very noticeable and I can feel the car vibrate a little more than normal when the sound happens.. I just had the valve seals and serpentine belt changed if that helps any...

I've been trying to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from but no real diagnosis there. But does sound like its coming from the passenger side of the engine bay.

I have looked for loose things such as exhaust, bumper loose, pretty much shook the whole damn car trying to find this noise lol.

I've done some research here on evo m and youtube but i havent found anything similar to my issue..

Here is the video of the noise.. Best video i could get so far the clicking noise is just the blinker and the grumbling noise is at the end of the video..

Gonna be taking it to a shop the end of the week but if i can fix it myself then why not?

Thanks for any help guys.

So wait... what triggers that noise? I know... silly question. But I mean, was the noise a byproduct of that rev? Do the RPMs change when the noise happens, or do you see anything at all? Or just the vibration?

How long have you owned this car, what mods does it have, and which of those mods have YOU done? How many miles, and is it throwing any codes? Do you track your fuel economy?

Ok. Nothing is really triggering the noise besides it being at that rpm range. That rev wasnt me? Was the car doing its thing? Ive had the car for a year and 5 months and got it stock and all the mods have been done by a local shop. The mods are gsc s2's, walbro 255, fic 1050 injectors, dual map tune e85 and 91. The noise happens on either map.

The car has 63k and no codes are present. Oh. I just had my valve seals and accessory belt replaced like 2 weeks ago. Timing belt was changed when I got my cams intalled back in September.

I dont see anything as far as the noise. I just hear it and feel it. I cant get the noise to happen by just free revving the car so I cant pin point where its coming from.

Im just really lost at why it only happens at that rpm range.

I also havent tracked my fuel economy since I got all the work done to my car cause I had that valve seals leaking so I didnt bother.

Wait... the rev at the beginning wasn't you?

What were you doing prior to this video? I honestly have no idea what that is. It almost sounds like one of those flaps that are in intake boxes, or an exhaust cutout.

Where are you feeling the vibration? In the chassis, or in the wheel, or what? Sorry... it's hard to diagnose through vid.

No worries was kinda hoping for ideas.

I was just on my way home from Tucson az. That rev wasnt me. Not sure why it did that.

Oh I fogot to say I have an injen intake and upper pipe. So no flaps. And exhaust I have 3in turbo back.

But u can just feel the car vibrate everywhere. Peda,l floor board, dash.

Im just gonna take it to the shop and see what he says. Im hoping its something stupid simple and not a bearing thats bad internally or something.

A little update..

We can only hear the noise from inside the car.. It sounds like the sound is coming from underneath the dash and can feel the vibrations in the passenger side floor board..

I've tried looking for things that are loose and what not but there is nothing.. A buddy told me something that might make a little since..

Maybe its my water pump going out and the sounds and vibrations are traveling through the heater core and making this noise and vibrations?

Any ideas?

I took it to the shop but we can't figure out where the noise is coming from..

As the car drops to idle it makes that noise and when i hold the rpms at that range the noise happens.

Another video of the same noise:

I seriously have no idea what that could be.

I don't think it's your water pump, because I think the sound would relate more to motor speed.

What did they say at the shop?

Yeah and because its only making the noise at that rpms is whats confusing me. The shop cohldnt figure out where the sound is coming either witbout removing all kinds of stuff. Im just gonna see if I can have him tear down my head and see if its not somethig they did when they replaced my valve seals. Im pretty much as clueless as everyone else that reads this.

My thought is a pully bearing or something going bad but im sure I would hear it at higher rpms as well.

Im hoping its not something in my block rattling around in there but again I should be able to hear it at higher rpms too..

A quick question as well could it be something in my transmission or transfer case? Even tho it happens in or out of gear and with or with out pushing the clutch in?
